FAQ
How does booking work?
Choose your sailing experience, find a suitable time in the calendar and send us your booking request. Once the time is confirmed, we’ll send you the confirmation and payment details.
What if I need to cancel?
Plans can change – we understand. If you need to cancel, the refund depends on the timing and booking terms. Full details will be shared when your booking is confirmed.
Do you still sail if it rains?
Yes, light rain does not necessarily stop us. But if the weather is simply too wet or unpleasant to enjoy the experience, we will do our best to find another suitable time together.
Is a prepayment required?
Yes. A 30% prepayment confirms your booking and secures the yacht for your chosen date.
What happens in bad weather?
Sailing always depends on the weather. If conditions make sailing unsafe, the captain may postpone or cancel the trip. In case of a storm with sustained winds above 15 m/s, the prepayment will be refunded in full.
What should I bring?
Dress for the sea, not for the weather you see from your hotel window. Even on a beautiful summer day, it can feel cooler on the water, so we recommend bringing a warm layer and a wind- or waterproof jacket.
What shoes should I wear?
Comfortable non-slip shoes with light-coloured soles are best. High heels and dark-soled shoes are best left ashore.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Yes. You’re welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks aboard, or catering can be arranged in advance. For meals enjoyed on board, a €20 cleaning fee applies.
Can children come aboard?
Yes, children are welcome. Please let us know their ages or sizes in advance so we can prepare suitable life jackets. Children are required to wear life jackets while aboard.
Is it safe on board?
Yes. Before departure, the captain gives everyone a short safety briefing. Christina carries the required safety equipment, and our skippers are properly qualified and experienced.
Where do trips start?
Most trips depart from Kuressaare Yacht Harbour. Exact details will be sent with your booking confirmation.
Where can I park my car?
Free parking is available at Kuressaare Yacht Harbour, so you can conveniently leave your car there while you’re out sailing.
Do I need any sailing experience?
Not at all. No previous sailing experience is required. Our skipper takes care of the yacht, so you can simply relax and enjoy the trip. If you’d like, you can also take part in sailing and try the helm under the skipper’s guidance.
How many people can join the trip?
The number of guests depends on the type of trip. You’ll find the maximum group size on each experience page. If you’re planning a trip for a larger group, contact us and we’ll help find the best solution.
Is there a toilet on board?
Yes. Yacht Christina has two toilets on board.
Will I get seasick?
Most guests feel comfortable on board, especially on shorter trips around Kuressaare Bay. However, everyone reacts differently to being at sea. If you know you are prone to seasickness, we recommend taking your usual motion-sickness medication before the trip.
Can I charge my phone and is there Wi-Fi on board?
Yes. Wi-Fi and charging options are available on board.
Can we play our own music on board?
Yes. You’re welcome to enjoy your own music during the trip. Ask the skipper and we’ll help you connect your phone to the yacht’s sound system.
What is included in the price?
The price includes the yacht, skipper, fuel for the planned trip, all necessary safety equipment, and a welcome drink. Any optional extras are shown separately when booking or can be arranged with us in advance.
